Osmany Magician

Osmany Lecusay Martin was born in Cuba.
When he was 18 years old, he attended the Providence School of Magic (Escuela Provincial de Magia) in the providence of Camaguey in Cuba. During the course of his studies, the Ferroviaria Company organized a variety show on the local and national level where Osmany won first place in two competitions.

During the almost three years of study and working with the Magic Company of Camaguey (Compania Magica de Camaguey), Osmany participated in different variety shows and circuses, one of them held in Baconao Park in Santiago, Cuba. While in Santiago, Mr. Alberto Pujals Villalon, known as the father of magic in Cuba, was working on organizing a magic company for Baconao Park and asked Osmany to be part of it.

With the Magic Company of Baconao, Osmany worked intensely in the different variety shows, galas, and close-up magic, in television and in circuses, among them the fantastic National Cuban Circus (Circo Nacional Cubano).

In the last 13 years, Osmany has performed in various shows in Germany. His program includes close up magic and scenic magic with participation from the public. As the magical clown “Pepino”, he has not only made an impression on the young audience but also the adult audience.

Since the beginning of 2009, he has been working on elaborating his program for his production “Negro Blanco” by integrating classical magic with effective and interesting elements of the Charleston dance.

He presented this act on September 17, 2010, in Saarbruken, Germany, in which he obtained first place in that category (the Golden Magic). He now qualifies to perform in the National Magic Championship of 2011.

In the official German magazine, “German Magic Circle”, the famous German magical scene writer, Christian Knudsen wrote: “Much time, clear effects. A good guy…We know that type of magic exists, but we rarely see it performed with that kind of perfection”

Since his victory on September 19, 2010, he has automatically become a member of the German Magic Circle.
