British violin player comes from a family of violinists. At the age of 4 she received her first lessons at home from her father and two years later joined the Huddersfield Primary Youth Orchestra. She led all the youth orchestras in her area, playing in many musicals and chamber music concerts, often collaborating with her mother and brother, also violinists.
Katrina continued her studies at the Royal College of Music, London and after graduating joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic under Laureate Conductor David Atherton. She then left to continue her studies at the University of Oklahoma, U.S.A. gaining a Master’s degree. There she was member of the Oklahoma Philharmonic, Go for Baroque chamber ensemble and the renowned Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. In 1996 Katrina returned to Hong Kong to teach young students at the Academy for Performing Arts and freelanced as an orchestral member and soloist for the following ten years with a variety of ensembles such as the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, HK Virtuosi, Pure Strings, HK Singers, the Macau Philharmonic, Faust Company and with artists Leon Lai, Jacky Cheung, Alan Tam, Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui, Faye Wong, Kenny G, Sarah Brightman and Olivia Newton John. ​
