Du Lan is a very experienced orchestral player, she was chosen to play in the HKAPA-Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra collaboration project playing Hindemith’s Metamorphosis and Beethoven fifth symphony, Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, Richard Strauss’s Alpine Symphony, Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, and Stravinsky’s Firebird in the year of 2004 – 2010 respectively. Du Lan was also the concertmaster of the Academy Symphony Orchestra.
Apart from the time in the Academy, she is also freelance player of the Sinfonietta and the City Chamber Orchestra.
Du Lan is also invited to play in SAR Philharmonic and Asian Youth Orchestra (2007 World Tour).
