Aniela Violin

Aniela trained at the Music School of Douglas Academy and the Junior Department of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying under the tutelages of Warren Jacobs, Edwin Paling and Mark Duncan. She continued her formal studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Diana Cummings.

As an orchestral player and leader, Aniela has toured Europe and Asia extensively, working with such conductors as John Lubbock, Christopher Adey, Christopher Bell, Takuo Yuasa, Louis Fremaux, Christopher Seaman, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Roland Kieft, and Sir Alexander Gibson to name a few. Aniela has also performed alongside soloists such as John Lill, Vasily Lobanov, Ernst Kovacic, Colin Currie and Nigel Kennedy. She has also had the privilege of working closely and studying with renowned contemporary composers William Sweeney, James McMillan and Eddie McGuire, with whom she maintains friendship. Aniela studied chamber music under James Durrant MBE and received chamber music instruction and master classes from the Rostov Quartet, Peter Frankl, Emanuel Hurwitz and Vladimir Ovchinikov. She also enjoys continued collaborations with Donnie Deacon (National Arts Centre Orchestra, Canada) with whom she coached a number of chamber ensembles in London. Currently, Aniela directs school chamber orchestra programmes and runs a junior orchestra. She plays regularly at corporate and consular events and volunteers with the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra. Playing and teaching the violin in Hong Kong for over fifteen years, Aniela is also a certified Early Childhood Music Educator with experience in working with children with special needs.
